Gelegen in het Pays du Mont-Blanc, een paar kilometer van Chamonix en Megève, tussen de Mont Blanc en de Mont Joly, het dorp Contamines heeft door de jaren heen de berg stijl die zijn charme biedt weten te behouden. U kunt vele sporten beoefenen zoals klimmen, of de GR van de "Tour du Mont-Blanc". U kunt gaan zwemmen in het Pontet Leisure Park, waar u een twintigtal verschillende activiteiten kunt ontdekken (slackline, springkussens, vissen ...).
