Saint François Longchamp's environment, lying between the Lauzière and the Cheval Noir mountains will take your breath away, with its high peaks and panoramic view. You can admire the Cheval Noir (2832m), the Lauzière mountain range, the Belledonne range and an excellent view of the Mont Blanc, Italian face, from the Col de la Madeleine (2000m). These wide open spaces give you the immediate sense of freedom and oxygenation. At the foot of the Col de la Madeleine, Saint François Longchamp is an important part of the regular passage of the Tour de France.
